Jennifer’s Note
I got to spend a week learning about Astanga Yoga & Yoga Therapeutics with my favorite teacher, Manju Pattahbi Jois this past month.  During the week I was reminded of a couple of super important facets of yoga.
 1) Yoga should be fun.
2) Your practice should feel good.
If your practice is neither fun nor feeling good, why do it?  In order for yoga to “work” – to enable us to heal, relax, unwind, be better people- we have to enter into each class with a sense of joy. If we aren’t happy and relaxed while practicing, even in a heated power yoga class, how on earth can the Yoga Work?
Yoga is an ancient, healing art form.  Here at Yoga East, we believe in Yoga;  that it is for Every Body-despite their age, physical limitations, or life circumstances.  We want Yoga to be accessible and fun and relaxing for everyone who enters the door.
If there is something we can do to facilitate your yoga journey, please never hesitate to give me a call or send me an email.
To that end, We are currently looking for folks to participate in some “karma” yoga–people willing to volunteer at the studio–whether it is helping to sign folks in for classes, or just tidy up between–we need your help!  Not to worry, we will make sure it is worth your while.  Interested?  Let Dawn or me know the next time you’re in the studio.
Yoga has helped heal my body – I want it to do the same for you!  Join us on the mat!  Y.E.S. Yoga East Studio is YOUR Studio for the best yoga in Chattanooga.
