April News

Jennifer’s Note
It’s OFFICIALLY Spring, my favorite time of year. (Except for maybe the associated allergies, but you gotta take the good with the bad, right?)  With spring comes the reminder of freshness, new blooms, warmth, longer days-what’s not to love?
Keeping with the theme of freshness and new, we are going to be making a few  changes and introducing another new teacher and class.  You will now see Slow Flow with Shirley Bryson on Saturday mornings at 8:30.  Think of this class as a marvelous way to start your weekend.  You’ll have 75 minutes  to wake up, warm up, stretch and renew yourself after a long and busy week.
This change means that Ashtanga will be moving to Sunday mornings.  We will now have a Mysore Style class that goes from 7:30-9:30 in the morning.  Mysore is a personalized way to practice the Ashtanga series under the very watchful eye of your teacher.  You will be given one on one attention and assists to help you grow in your personal practice.  I will lead this new class until maternity leave comes and then our very own Elizabeth Ogle and Carrie Godwin will take over for me.  If you have never practiced Mysore Style, give it a try, you just may find a new favorite way to get your yoga in.
Wednesdays are also going to see a few changes.  Linda is going to be leading us through an All Levels Flow at 10 and Beth will have a full hour Yin class starting at noon.  The goal is to make our Monday – Friday Calendar a little more cohesive so it’s easier to know what we are doing every week.
As you already know, we started Aerial Yoga Conditioning in March.  If you didn’t get a chance to try it, OH MY GOODNESS, get in here and work it with Rebecca!  You’ll get a great 1 hour circuit training that’ll build all sorts of core and upper body strength all while increasing flexibility!  Seriously, this class is AWESOME, you don’t want to miss it!
It is also our intention in the studio to do a few more “facelift” projects this spring.  Please be patient as we Bloom!

Focusing primarily on children ages three to eleven, this ten-hour course will give you all the tools you need to create your own yoga program for children (and Yoga Alliance CEUs, too!).
