What led you to yoga?

After years of mainstream exercise had left me with painful joints and a stressed out mind, I knew there had to be a better answer. I wanted something that helped not only my body… but my mind and spirit as well.

Three words that reflect how you want to BE each day…

Awake ~ Joyful ~ Contagious

Three things that cause you to be fully present, other than yoga…

My son ~ My husband ~ My friends

Pose that reminds you of what itʼs like to be a beginner…

Uttanasana (forward fold) Those wretched hamstrings!

The most beautiful sight you have ever seen…

My son looking up at me ten seconds after he was born.

Your definition of yoga…

For me, it is a combination of body, mind, and spirit working together to attain balance on and off the mat.

The best trip you’ve ever experienced…

Amelia Island, FL. I fell in love with the ecologically natural beach.

How do you begin each day?

I try to remember to be thankful for each new day as soon as I rise in the morning. For me, it’s my meditation.

A bit more…

The three biggest accomplishments in my life, however, have been raising my son to be a happy, healthy little boy, having the brains to marry that amazing guy I found, and surviving my yoga teacher training only to realize that I continue to learn something new about the practice every day. My favorite aspect of teaching yoga is observing my students awaken and become aware of the positive changes in their bodies. I also enjoy seeing how they feel when they finish a class. They glow! You will see lots of movement and sweat in my classes as I’m a dynamic teacher who wants you to leave, feeling mentally and physically inspired. I’m so grateful for this practice that fuels my passions and for my buddies with their beautiful minds who I’ve met on my yoga path. I am looking forward to meeting members of a new yoga community with whom to share the path.
