Jennifer’s Note

Have you seen our schedule for the summer?   We are “chock full” of fun, new experiences and community  locations to counter the dog days of summer!  Check out some cool, new tunes with themed playlists with one of your new favorite teachers. Or practice outside in beautiful settings with MORE of your  new and favorite teachers! We are pushing innovative and creative ways to bring you to your practice both here and out into the community.  We love building and strengthening  bodies AND relationships  every day here at Yoga East, and we aim to keep that up ALL summer long!In addition to creative and fun ways to spend your summer days, we’ve added a couple new teachers to our schedule.  If you haven’t already, check out Amy Darby and Ashley Shotwell!  Both of these ladies are 200 hr certified by Yoga Alliance with a passion for Yoga and teaching that is nothing short of infectious. Another goal of the studio is to provide you, our studio family, with a broad range of teachers sure to speak to you and help you grow in your practice.  We welcome Amy and Ashley to the Yoga East Teacher Family and know you’ll love them immediately, just like we have.

Our favorite urban farm, Everlee Farm, will be hosting us once again on Tuesday, June 6th @ 6:30, as we continue our season of Yoga at the Farm! Deanna Doran will lead us on a fun and light-hearted flow at this local, beautiful, natural setting right here in our own backyard.  Bring your produce basket for the season’s freshest early veggies.  In addition, as a special bonus, we will be offering free samples of fresh juice courtesy of Lifestyle Cuisines (coming soon to the studio!)   Come Join the Fun

Summer Music Series
On June 17th at 12:30, our Summer Music Series is back with Carrie Godwin.  Our theme this month will be “Dance Party!”.  Come enjoy some fun tunes, a great All Levels Flow class, and some Mimosas!  It’ll set the mood for the rest of your weekend.   Regular Class Fees apply

Want something fun to do with the whole family this summer?  Join Claire Mooney on Wednesday afternoons at 4:30 for Family Yoga!  Children 5-12 are welcome where you’ll play with poses and enjoy quality family time with no smart devices!

The Red Wolves of Reflection Riding & Arboretum
June 24th @ 9:00 at Reflection Riding

This quarter’s non-profit partnership is in support of the Red Wolves of Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center.  Did you know that the Red Wolf is the 8th most endangered animal on the planet? Right here in our own backyard, Reflection Riding is currently caring for 7 Red Wolves! What a great opportunity to stand up and shout, “How can we help?”

Come practice with Megan Brock 06.24.17. We will experience an All Levels Flow class on the covered decks surrounding the peaceful, cool & shaded rock garden.  The minimum donation is $10 which also gives you entrance to the beautiful acres of the Reserve to explore at your leisure after practice.  Come support this amazing, 100% privately funded local non-profit.  If you can’t participate, please consider donating and spread the word!

We continue to partner with Jamie Jackson and the Mi Lu Center to provide our studio members the opportunity to experience wellness the Traditional Chinese Medicine way with weekly Community Acupuncture and Fire Cupping Sessions.  This wellness program has been around for centuries but is new to our studio and is definitely growing. The community treatments are a more economical means to incorporate TCM into your lifestyle as you heal with a group of your peers.  We invite you to reserve your spot today, or just drop in.  TCM can help with a variety of ailments from pain to infertility, to insomnia.  If , on the day of your treatment, you are running late or need to cancel last minute, please call Jamie directly at 303-328-5869. *Please note, there will be no acupuncture on June 4th and 18th.

Focusing primarily on children ages three to eleven, this ten-hour course will give you all the tools you need to create your own yoga program for children (and Yoga Alliance CEUs, too!). Through the use of themes, games, music, books, and other props, we will transform traditional practice into a creative, stimulating, and-most importantly-FUN yoga experience for kids.
Everyone is welcome regardless of training or experience level.
